The gist of the Complaint : Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.

The Complainant, aged 69yrs, resides at the above mentioned address since his birth, with family i.e. wife Nita age 67 years, son Kaustubh age 37 years, Ajay Mote age 24 years. she is studying MBBS since 2019 at the said place. The Complainant’s is owner of the Utsav Hotel at shop no. S/ 6/7., Chinchpokli Junction, Arthur Road Naka, Byculla west Mumbai

The Complainant needed a cashier for working in the said Hotel, thereby sent advertisement on ‘Work India’ company’s app  online . Accordingly he got a call for the job of cashier from the mobile number 8850197674. The Complainant called him to Utsav Hotel for interview on 13/11/2022. In the interview accused told his name as Raunak Kumar Jha , age 26 years. The Complainant arranged for his accommodation at Hotel staff room.    On 19/11/2022 at 10.30 a.m. Raunak Jha came to work as a cashier around 11.00 a.m. , after that the Complainant along with Manager Anirudh Goud, Amit Thakkar, and two workers went on a business purpose to Lower Parel . The accused Raunak Kumar Jha was in hotel.

  At around 02.24PM, Manager Anirudh received a call from other cashier of hotel Mr Machhindra Dhamane, who told that the new cashier Raunak has gone out of the hotel saying that he will come in ten minutes but it has been an hour and he has not returned and he has taken the keys of the locker and drawer. After that the complainant and manager Anirudh tried calling  Raunak but his mobile phone was switched off. Around 4.30 pm after  complainant  came back to the hotel, still Raunak had not returned to the hotel and the locker was closed. The Complainant , therefore opened the locker with the spare key and  noticed that the cash from the current locker and the vendor locker is missing. The cash for one week sales , which is to be paid to different suppliers amounting to Rs. 2,29,000/- was kept in said locker in total , was not found . They searched for Raunak Jh at staff room, and found that his belongings were also not there.

The Complainant was then convinced that some unknown person(s’) had stolen her tab, a bag containing important documents . The description of the stolen property is as follows.

Police Registered the case and took up the investigation The case is being investigated by the Police  officer namely Mr. Yogendra Pache.

The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi ( gave copy of the same to him) and it was explained to him in Hindi  and he confirmed the same.
