The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 45 years, resides at the above-mentioned address for the last 15 years with his family i.e. with his husband (age 50 years), elder son Suraj (age 20 years), and younger son Dipak/Deepak (age 17 years). The Complainant’s husband runs a small retail Fruits selling stall, out of the said business livelihood is being earned for the family. The Younger Son, Dipak is studying FY B.com at Saraf college, at Malad West, and also helps his father in business on a part-time basis.
On 7th January 2023, Complainant’s husband, and son (Dipak/Deepak) left home at 5:00 am for a business place i.e., Rajendra Nagar, Kasturba, Borivali East, Mumbai, and came back home at 2:30 in the noon. After having lunch, at 3:00 pm Dipak left home saying that he will return in a while, but he did not return till 8:00 pm, hence the complainant tried calling him on his cell number, but it was found to be switched off. Afterward, the complainant enquired about her son with local residents and by contacting his friends, however, no one had any information about his whereabouts. Therefore, the complainant thought that Dipak must have gone to his native place i.e. Gopalganj Bihar. However, after contacting the relatives at the native place, when it was clear that he was not there nor did he have any conversation with them or his friends, the complainant suspected that her 17-year-old son had gone missing and that her son was kidnapped by some unknown person. Hence FIR was registered against an unknown person for kidnapping.
Police Registered the case and took up the investigation The case is being investigated by the Police officer namely Mr. Harshad Ingole.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi and it was explained to him in Hindi and she confirmed the veracity of the same.
