The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant (Nayak no-040589), aged 41, resides at the above-mentioned address for 5 years with family, he joined the Mumbai Police department on 01/06/2004 and is presently serving at Samta Nagar Police Station since 16/08/2021 in Crime Detection Branch.
The Complainant appeared at the police station for day duty on 24/01/2023 at 9.00 AM. around 11:00 PM in the evening after completing day duty, while going for all- out operation and crime prevention patrol along with A.P.I. Mr. Amol Bhagat , Sepoy 80192/Patane at around 23.50 hrs at Pramod Navalkar Udyan, Kala Paththar, Poisar Kandivali (east), the accused was seen standing behind the rickshaw in a position where no one would see him. When the squad observed him closely, from a distance, his behavior seemed suspicious, so when the police team approached him, the accused started running away on seeing the police, team chased the accused and detained him. As the accused seemed as hiding something, two individuals were immediately called as Panch (Witness). Thereafter police squad searched the body of the accused before PANCHAS (Witnesses), a Knife of the following description was found inside the pant he was wearing on the left side hip.
- One knife measuring 14.5 inches overall length, wooden handle length 4.5 inches, edged blade length 10 inches on one side, blade width 2 inches approx. of Rs. 130/-
When the accused was asked his name and address, he gave the above details. The said Knife was seized and the accused was brought to the police station. Therefore, the complainant have a legal complaint on behalf of Govt. against the accused for having in his possession lethal knife without license.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi, and it was explained to him in Hindi, also copy of the same handed over to him sand he confirmed the same.
